Witnessing Change: My Journey to the Arctic Circle Residency - Kickstarter campaign…

I’m absolutely thrilled to share some big news , I’ve been selected to take part in The Arctic Circle Residency in May 2026! ❄️

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that brings together artists, scientists, and researchers aboard a sailing vessel travelling through the High Arctic archipelago of Svalbard. For three weeks, we’ll live and work together, exploring the rapidly changing polar environment and the urgent realities of climate change and glacial melt.

As many of you know, my practice as a printmaker and artist has long been rooted in documenting fragile and changing landscapes. From derelict industrial buildings to mountain ranges shaped by ice and weather, I’m drawn to places that reveal the marks of time and human presence.

Last year, I travelled through the Alps, witnessing the retreat of glaciers, and then spent a month in Venice, where rising sea levels are reshaping the city. These experiences have left a deep impression on me, showing how interconnected our environments are and how the loss of ice in one region can ripple out across the globe.

The Arctic feels like the next step in this journey, a chance to see and understand these changes first-hand, and to create a new body of etchings and monotypes inspired by this extraordinary landscape. I’ll be documenting the expedition through drawing, writing, and photography, and sharing the process along the way.

To help make this dream possible, I’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise the funds needed for travel, residency costs, and materials. In return, I’m offering a range of limited edition prints and artworks for supporters who’d like to be part of the journey.
